Geomancy
The meaning of GeomancyGeomancy signifies: soothsaying through soil. It is the oldest traceable knowledge for choosing and creating the appropriate living- and working location. Geomancy understands itself as a holistic form of natural science. First evidences for applied geomancy were found in ancient caveman paintings, about 30.000 years ago. Within the bounds of geomancy, natural habitat is seen as an interdependent system of energies, information and relations.
Geomantic lore has always been a science, which was reserved to the “wise men and women” of ancient cultures. During the Middle Ages, Templars and master-builders of towns and cathedrals adopted this science. It provided conserving wholesomeness, harmony, power and success.
With the help of integral geomancy, we examine, what kind of environmental conditions are given: Geological formation, landscape, man-made environment, buildings, ground-radiation, such as water-veins, geological downcast, technical radiation like electromagnetic pollution and radio-wave propagation, materials, crop, form and colour. But we also examine historical events and temporary occurrences. These various factors may have a positive and supporting or a negative and debilitating impact. Positive effects will be amplified, negative ones will be neutralised. The architectural implementation of geomancy is concerning buildings, urban areas, Interior design or landscaping. Nowadays, major companies like Siemens, BMW or Hyatt and many more follow geomantic principles, when they are building .
How does Geomancy work? Within integral geomancy, we create and design an environmental and human-related concept, which is leading to impulses for gaining healthiness, convenience, balance energy, success and the feeling to be truly at home. The efficiency of Geomancy is comparable to alternative cures. The human's system as well as its environment is given an impulse for rediscovering and reactivating its own abilities.
By the way, geomancy is still a lively tradition in Europe: For bigger building projects, the Icelandic Government and the city building authority of Reykjavik affords its own elfin-commissary.
